Description:
This activity gives an overview of national health policy
and the key systemic issues affecting health care financing, quality,
reform, innovation, and policy decision-making in the US today and in
the future.
Objectives:
After participating in this activity, attendees will be able
to:
- Discuss national health policy, particularly in the areas of
economics and finance, how policy gets made, and future trends;

Actively participate/partner in the health care debate at the
district, regional, state, and national levels;

Become more effective advocates for policy changes to improve their
practice environments;

Explore leadership opportunities and advocacy efforts.
Accreditation:
The
Massachusetts Medical Society designates this educational activity for a
maximum of 7.5 AMA
PRA Category 1 credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with
the extent of their participation in the
activity.
This activity meets the criteria of the
Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine for risk management
study.
This activity has been planned and
implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the Joint
Sponsorship of the Massachusetts Medical Society and Brandeis University
Heller School for Social Policy and Management.
The Massachusetts Medical Society is
accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education
to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
