Hampshire District Medical Society Medical Student Grants
Program
The Hampshire District Medical Society, of
the Massachusetts Medical Society, is pleased to announce that 2
scholarship awards are available. The Rollin M. Johnson, MD
Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 and the Hampshire District Medical
Society Scholarship in the amount of $2,000. The following
criteria must be met for an individual to be considered for the
grant.
Must list or have lived in Western
Massachusetts for at least five consecutive
years.
A letter of matriculation must be
submitted from the medical school the individual is
attending.
Full-time student in medical
school
A copy of the letter of
recommendation from the undergraduate school to the medical school must
be submitted.

All candidates will have an equal opportunity to qualify for the
grants. Awardees will be selected by an Executive Committee by
August. Notification of the recipients will be made by end of
September.
All applications must be submitted no
later than April 30, each year.

Hampshire District News
Doctor for a Day Hampshire has
their High School Doctor for a Day program annually. The High School
Doctor for a Day Program is an educational opportunity designed to
provide a mentoring experience for serious high school juniors or
seniors. The program is designed to assist young people who have
expressed an interest in the field of medicine to have hands-on
experience in the complex health care environment.
