Massachusetts Medical Society Urges Passage of Professional Liability Reforms
(January 28, 2010) The Massachusetts Medical Society today offered testimony before the legislature’s Joint Committee on the Judiciary on an array of bills that physicians strongly believe would improve the system for resolving medical liability claims. Mario Motta, M.D., president of the Society and a practicing cardiologist in Salem, focused his testimony in support of House Bill 1332, An Act Improving Patients Access to Timely Compensation.

Massachusetts Medical Society Issues Strong Support of School Nutrition Bill
(January 27, 2010) In a letter delivered today to each member of the state House of Representatives, the Massachusetts Medical Society has again declared its strong support of House Bill 2092, An Act to Promote Proper School Nutrition. The letter to House members follows the Society’s testimony supporting the bill delivered before the Joint Committee on Public Health last June.
