Associated Grant Makers
AGM is a regional association serving nonprofit organizations, grantmakers, donors, policymakers, the media, and the public with its extensive resources.

Council on Foundations
The Council on Foundation (COF) provides a variety of services to more than 1800 grantmaking foundations and corporations throughout the United States. It promotes knowledge, growth and action in philanthropy through technical assistance, research, publications, conferences and workshops, legal services and other activities.

Foundation Center

Grantmakers in Health
Grantmakers in Health (GIH) is a nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to helping foundations and corporate giving programs improve the nation's health. Its mission is to foster communication and collaboration among grantmakers and others, and to help strengthen the grantmaking community's knowledge, skills, and effectiveness.

AHP is the complete source for education, networking, information and research opportunities in health care philanthropy today. AHP is a not-for-profit organization with more than 3,400 members.

Association of Fundraising Professionals
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents 26,000 members in 174 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China working to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education, and certification programs.

Free Management Library
A resource for nonprofit leaders and staff learn to understand the various/varied elements of fundraising, to recognize the importance of the relationship between an organization and its potential donors, and to construct and implement a strong fundraising plan/program for their nonprofits.

FundRaising Success
FundRaising Success is a bimonthly magazine serving the development arm of nonprofit organizations across the United States. The revenue generated in the nonprofit sector is huge and continues to grow.

Network for Good Learning Center
Free online fundraising resources for nonprofits, including a library of expert advice, donor communication tips, and nonprofit marketing resources.

Proposal Writing

Boston Center for Adult Education
The Boston Center for Adult Education offers several online courses on grantwriting for students at different levels of experience and progress. The classes are 24 hours of content over 6 weeks and cost $95 each.

Cambridge Center for Adult Education 
The Cambridge Center for Adult Education, located on Brattle St in Cambridge, offers Grantwriting 101, a 3 hour workshop. The workshop helps attendees write their executive summaries and start writing their proposals. No prior experience is required. The 3 hour session costs $65

Foundation Center Online
The Foundation center is dedicated to helping philanthropic organizations succeed and providing more information on philanthropy. This brief online course outlines the basics of writing proposals.

Grant Space Webinar
Grant Space, a service of the Foundation Center, offers a free recorded webinar with information of the proposal process and tips for writing a strong proposal.

Grant Resource Center at the Leominster Public Library
The Leominster Public Library offers many services to grant writers. The library has access to databases with information on resources, foundations, fund raising, and other aspects of grant writing. Trained staff help writers comb through these databases or find related books. The library also puts on periodic training sessions.

Grant Resource Center at the Worcester Public Library
The Worcester Public Library offers many services to grant writers. The library has access to databases with information on resources, foundations, fund raising, and other aspects of grant writing. Trained staff help writers comb through these databases or find related books. The library also puts on periodic training sessions.

Grant Resource Network at the Oaks Bluff Library 
The library has access to databases with information on resources, foundations, fund raising, and other aspects of grant writing. More than 15 people with grant writing and research experience have been trained and are available by appointment to assist those using Network resources.

Springfield City Library
The Springfield City Library provides visitors with free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center's electronic databases. The new audio version of The Foundation Center’s Guide to Proposal Writing is available for download free of charge.

On-line edition is published every week and is an excellent news source. Some material is available only to subscribers.

The Foundation is proud to support physician-led volunteer initiatives that provide free care to uninsured patients and increased access to care for the medically underserved, as well as community health initiatives that target public health issues such as infectious disease, obesity, and domestic violence.
