Youth Violence Prevention PSA Text
Massachusetts Medical Society (0:60)
Every time we hear about
kids being hurt by violence, our hearts break. And, it scares us: What
will happen to my children?
As our kids get to be
teenagers, they’re more and more on their own.
But as parents, we still
need to do what we can to keep them safe.
Ever notice how kids who are
involved in their community are less likely to get in
trouble?
So find ways to get your
kids involved.
- Like at a teen or community
center.
- In summer and after-school
programs….
- With a church or youth
group…
- With a sports team, band, drama
group.
- Or help them find a job. Or somewhere
they can volunteer.
Find some
way to get them involved. Because kids who stay involved in their
community have better things to do than fight.
