Course Overview
Medical errors in the ambulatory
environment can be complex with multiple breakdowns in the system,
particularly diagnostic errors. As patient caseloads continue to
increase along with many regulatory demands on practicing physicians, it
can be challenging to identify risk areas for potential medical
errors. This CME activity raises awareness for the most common
errors, many of which are system and process-based, and outlines
potential strategies a physician can implement to minimize
risk.
Intended Audience
This course is intended for physicians and allied health
professionals.
