Course Overview
Technology
and wireless communication are opening new channels of communication
between the physician and patient. Across the nation, telemedicine is
being used to bridge gaps in access to care in rural and other medically
underserved communities. Primary care physicians and patients in
these areas can link to specialists at large urban medical
centers. The use of telemedicine is expected to grow
significantly. This CME activity explores recent trends and
developments in the clinical, regulatory and risk management aspects of
telemedicine.
