Course Overview
Vaccine
Management is the second of three modules in the online CME
activity, Massachusetts Responds: A Vaccinator
Training. The content was developed by the
Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Infectious
Disease Prevention, Response and Services. Based on DPH’s live
vaccinator training sessions presented across the state of
Massachusetts, this 3-module program includes slides and resource
materials in the areas of: 1) definition of influenza types, 2) the
principles of vaccine management, and 3) a description of vaccine
preparation and administration techniques. Resource materials include
all of the handouts, templates and forms utilized in the live
sessions.

Intended Audience
This program
is intended for physicians, nurses, allied health practitioners, and
EMT-paramedics.

requirements for vaccination documentation and record keeping

The Massachusetts Medical Society
designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA
Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim
credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the
activity.
This program meets the criteria of
the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine for risk management
study.
Participants will receive a
confidential report of their examination score. You must receive a score
of 70% or better to receive AMA PRA Category 1
Credit™. A confirmation of credit will be issued at the
end of the course to those who successfully complete the
examination.
The Massachusetts Medical Society
is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for
physicians.
