OBJECTIVES

Describe the ETG methodology - how
ETGs are used to measure efficiency and the utilization and financial
performance of a physician.

Articulate the differences between
ETGs and other measurements relative to physician and patient
performance.

Discern between measures of
physicians' quality of care performance and practice efficiency
performance.
-
Explain the impact of ETGs on
physician performance, patient care, and physician viability.
-
Identify which performance measures
are being used and how they are being used for tiering physicians and
physicians' practices.

is June 30, 2008.
The Massachusetts Medical Society
designates Cost Performance Ratings: What You Need to Know
About ETGs for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1
Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate
with the extent of their participation in the activity.
This program meets the criteria of
the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine for risk
management study.
Participants will receive a
confidential report of their examination score. You must receive a score
of 70% or better to receive AMA PRA Category 1
Credit™. A confirmation of credit will be issued at the
end of the course to those who successfully complete the
examination.
The Massachusetts Medical Society
is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for
physicians.
*Each presentation is designated
for 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and the Panel
Session is designated for .5 AMA PRA Category 1
Credit™.

FEES
The Cost Performance
Ratings: What You Need to Know About ETGs course and all
associated course materials are available free of charge. An opportunity
to complete an exam and receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credit
for a nominal fee is available at the end of the course. The course fees
are as follows:
Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS)
Member: $10 per module credit
Non-MMS member: $20 per module
