Luncheon Options
Delegates are encouraged to attend one of the three luncheons
offered.
House of
Delegates Luncheon
The House of Delegates luncheon is a casual luncheon allowing
delegates to reconnect with colleagues as they take a break from the
business of the House of Delegates.
New Delegate Orientation Luncheon
All interested delegates are invited to attend the New Delegate
Orientation Luncheon during day one of the Interim Meeting of the House
of Delegates. This orientation will explain roles and responsibilities
and how the House of Delegates, Reference Committees, and other aspects
of our governance process work. This luncheon is perfect for newly
elected delegates and also those who are wishing to brush up on their

Committee on
Women in Medicine Luncheon
The Massachusetts Medical Society’s Committee on Women in
Medicine cordially invites MMS women physician delegates to a luncheon
at the Interim Meeting. Please join us as Suzanne Kovin, MD, Boston
Globe columnist of the monthly column, “In Practice”,
presents “The Role of Women Physicians in Medicine and Family
Life”.
- What are the future expectations on women physicians?
- What are the responsibilities of the spouse and other
companions?
- What roles do women play in academia?
- Which comes first and how to be in balance when considering work and
family?
- Are women physicians becoming caregivers to all?
This luncheon also provides information about current activities of
the Committee on Women in Medicine, district activities of interest to
women physicians, and an opportunity to meet and greet both newly
elected and seasoned delegates.
