1. Download and complete the Initial Application for Joint
Sponsorship of a CME Activity form at least six months
prior to your activity start date. Email your completed form
to mmscmecertification@mms.org
or you may mail or fax to the address/fax number listed below.
2. A review of your application will take place within 1-2
weeks of its receipt at MMS. You may be contacted for
additional information.
3. If your initial application is accepted, you will be
informed of the joint sponsorship fee and associated
accreditation responsibilities.
4. Begin the formal Committee review process by downloading
and completing the Activity Planning Document. Email the
form to the email address below. Only electronic submissions
can be accepted at this time. The MMS Committee on Sponsored
Programs reviews activities in early January, March, May, and June,
September, and November. Applicants will be notified of
receipt of the materials and will be notified of the Committee's
review meeting date.
5. You will be notified of the Committee's decision within
2 days of the meeting. If your activity is accepted for Joint
Sponsorship, you will receive a Joint Sponsor Agreement, which must be signed
and returned within 10 business days.
IMPORTANT: No statement of credit can be printed on
materials or promotional mailings without notification from MMS
that CME credit has been awarded by the MMS. DO NOT STATE
"MMS credit applied for" or similar wording. Once approved,
MMS will supply the correct accreditation language for marketing
and other materials. All promotional materials, both
in print and online, require prior review and approval by the
MMS.
