Designs selection criteria for and creates awards to recognize
leaders in medicine.
Selects awardees for existing awards including the
Lifetime Achievement Award, the Award for Distinguished Service to the
Massachusetts Medical Society, and the Special Award for Excellence in
Medical Service. Ratification of awardees for the Henry Ingersoll
Bowditch Award for Excellence in Public Health, the Grant V. Rodkey,
M.D. Award for Significant Contributions to Medical Students, the Senior
Volunteer Physician of the Year Award, the Information Technology in
Medicine Award, the Men’s Health Award, and the Committee on
History Medical Student Essay Award.
