Contract
Position: Associate Director
Physician
Health Services, Inc. (PHS), a subsidiary of the Massachusetts Medical Society,
seeks a board-certified physician to provide services to its clients on a
contract basis for approximately 6-10 hours per week. As a peer protected,
confidential, non-profit corporation, PHS provides outreach, support and
monitoring services to Massachusetts medical students, residents and physicians
with health related problems including physical, emotional, behavioral and/or
substance use issues. As a consulting physician, you will assess and
monitor physicians, and consult with treating clinicians and treatment programs
as necessary.
Requirements
include a current Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine license, the
expertise to identify and monitor substance use disorders and behavioral
problems and provide objective guidance, and some experience counseling
physicians. Although experience in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine
is definitely a plus, all adult psychiatrists and addiction-savvy physicians
will be considered.
