Massachusetts Medical Society: ICD 10: Beyond Implementation

ICD 10: Beyond Implementation

ICD 10: Beyond Implementation

ICD-10 is one of the most significant changes in our industry's history. ICD-10 will allow for clarity of coding from the improved documentation and therefore improves the reflection of exactly what physicians are performing on a daily basis. This implementation will ultimately cause disruption in operational process and potentially in reimbursement, which can impact patient care. It is important for providers to be aware of the various considerations they should have prior to and post ICD-10 implementation in order to alleviate unnecessary burden and minimize risk. This online CME course focuses on documentation practices which are important for ICD-10.

This online course is recorded form a live webinar on September 9, 2015.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify why detailed preparation for both pre and post ICD-10 implementation is important.
  •  Plan and optimize your operational preparedness strategies.
  • Apply best practices in light of CME announcement.
