Completing a Death Record

Correct cause of death can be defined in terms of time and a sequence of events in a patient’s mortality etiology. This causal sequence is broken down into immediate, intermediate and the underlying conditions or events that led to the death. In the example above, listed are immediate and underlying causes of death in Part I, with several potential contributing factors in Part II.  Can you think of possible intermediate causes that might have been listed based on your experience?
