Dr. Hugh Mahoney Scholarship Program

The Dr. Hugh Mahoney Scholarship, sponsored by the Middlesex North District Medical Society, is available to any medical school student who is enrolled and has completed one year at an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. 

Eligibility:
Applicants must be a legal resident of one of the following towns comprising the district: Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Groton, Lowell, Pepperell, Tewksbury, Tyngsboro and Westford.

Dr. John A. Ragucci honored by the Middlesex North District Medical Society as 2024 Community Clinician of the Year

John Ragucci

Dr. John A. Ragucci, a family medicine physician at Tufts Medicine/Lowell General Hospital, has been selected as the Middlesex North District Medical Society’s 2024 Community Clinician of the Year.

Dr. Ragucci is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Tufts University School of Medicine and a clinical instructor, Introduction to Clinical Medicine, at Boston University School of Medicine.

A fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Ragucci was recognized as one of the top doctors in Massachusetts in 2022 and was the Boston University School of Medicine Community Preceptor of the Year in 2019. He has been a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society for more than 35 years and is a graduate of Boston College, Northeast University (Master of Health Science) and Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Ragucci is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society.
