Dr. Stephen S. Kasparian honored by the Bristol South District Medical Society as 2023 Community Clinician of the Year
Dr. Stephen S. Kasparian, an obstetrician and gynecologist who works in Fall River, has been selected as the Bristol South District Medical Society’s 2023 Community Clinician of the Year.
Kasparian is recognized by his peers for his exceptional care of his patients and his ongoing commitment, advocacy, and longtime steadfast leadership in the district medical society.
He holds a medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed an internship and residency in family practice at the Medical College of Virginia, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Kasparian is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and practices in Fall River, where he has served the community for more than 35 years. He has been a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society since 1985 and is a longtime active member of its House of Delegates and serves on both the Committee on Nominations, and the Committee on Legislation.
He served Charlton Memorial Hospital as president of the medical staff and as chairman of obstetrics/gynecology department. Kasparian has been active on the credentials committee and the board of trustees for Southcoast Health.
Through the Massachusetts Medical Society, Kasparian has led several trainings for the Stop the Bleed program, a national undertaking that encourages bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Also with MMS, Kasparian served on the organization’s reference committee.
