Room Block
A block of rooms is being held at the Westin Hotel in Waltham. To make a reservation, please visit www.massmed.org/interim2019/reservations or contact the hotel by
phone at 781-290-5600 and ask for the “MASSACHUSETTS MEDICAL SOCIETY” group rate. The MMS deadline for the group room block is October 28, 2019.
Delegate Reimbursement Policy
Current MMS policy allows delegates, when attending a meeting of the House of Delegates (HOD), to obtain reimbursement for up to two nights’ accommodation before or between sessions of the HOD at the negotiated MMS group single rate. To obtain the group
rate, reservations must be made by October 28, 2019. Upgrades will be at the delegates’ expense. Reimbursement for MMS delegates is provided for the evening before the first session (Thursday, December 5, 2019) and/or between the two sessions
of the House (Friday, December 6, 2019), and is applicable for the cost of the accommodation, self-parking, and tax.
Requests for reimbursement for additional hotel nights for the House of Delegates meeting should be directed to the MMS Executive Office at 800-322-2303, ext. 7007, prior to the meeting. The president or the president's designee may authorize additional
hotel nights based upon travel time or extenuating circumstances involved in the delegate's mobility.
Rates for reimbursement are based on the discounted group rate negotiated with the hotel. For this meeting, the group rate is $159/night plus tax. All other incidental charges are the responsibility of the individual.
Delegates choosing to request reimbursement should submit an original receipt for the paid hotel bill, along with a signed MMS Delegate Reimbursement Form (available in the Second Session Interim Meeting handouts) to Laura Bombrun, Massachusetts Medical

Hotel Cancellations
If you are holding a reservation at the hotel and need to cancel, please contact Laura Bombrun by email or by phone at 800-322-2303, ext. 7007 before contacting the hotel. The MMS will manage the
room block and fill these rooms from the wait list. If you call and cancel with the hotel, the MMS will lose the room. Thank you for your assistance.
