Reference Committee Information


Get Involved on a Reference Committee!

General HOD Information

We have a few remaining openings on reference committees for the Interim (and Annual) Meetings. Reference committees review business and online testimony for items, meet (virtually) to deliberate, and report to the HOD will recommendations. The time commitment is limited and schedule-friendly as all prep and the deliberations meeting is online. Interested? Please contact houseofdelegates@mms.org. Thank you!


Online Reference Committee Testimony Site (Typed Testimony or Video/Audio Upload)

Beginning Monday, October 18, members can testify online at https://www.massmed.org/hodcommunity/home. This online site serves as the only method for reference committee testimony for this virtual Interim Meeting. Members can type in testimony or upload a video/audio file. Please see complete details on the site. Please review the site regularly. Quick Reference Guides are available for written testimony and video/audio testimony.

The site closes Tuesday, November 9, 6:00 p.m., but static comments will remain for viewing.

Reference Committee reports will be available electronically on Tuesday, November 23.

Extractions/Amendment Process and Forms

Important: Your speakers request advance notice of extractions from delegates by Thursday, December 2, 6:00 p.m., via email to: houseofdelegates@mms.org. Your email subject line should read: Extraction HOD Second Session. Please indicate your name, district, Reference Committee and Item # of extraction. Although amendments may be submitted during the HOD second session using the same form, out of respect for your colleagues and MMS staff, it will take extra time to type amendments live, therefore, your Speakers very much appreciate you submitting your amendments in advance.

Extractions to propose Amendments over three words must be submitted from delegates on an Amendment Form to: houseofdelegates@mms.org. Fillable amendment forms in PDF or Word and instructions are available here:

When you email an amendment form, in your email subject line, please state: “AMENDMENT Ref Com {A/B/ or C}_Item #_Your Last Name.

Delegates extracting and item/extracting to propose an amendment must attend (Zoom) the HOD second session, Saturday, December 4, to speak to their extraction/amendment.
