Communications Case Study

Listen to office practice leaders describe their approach to improve communication with patients to insure that patients' needs are understood and addressed during the visit.  Hear how these practices used small tests of change to improve the effectiveness of their communication with patients about test results, and with specialists' offices about referrals.

  • Identify methods to improve communication with patient to insure that the reason for the patient's visit is understood and addressed.
  • Identify a method to improve the communication with a patient about a serious medical condition.
  • Understand the value of working with specialists offices to assure that patients get the care they need.
