The Importance of Data Analytics in Physician Practice (3 Modules)
The Importance of Data Analytics in Physician Practice: Module 1
Population Health Management Through Data Analytics
Rapid changes in the healthcare environment require physicians to constantly keep up with an increasing amount of information. Given that there is so much information with varying interpretations on data analytics in accountable care settings, physicians need an educational venue that provides current, high quality information delivered by national well-experienced experts. This knowledge is important today as physicians are constantly making decisions that will impact their practice in the future and these decisions will directly impact how the practice interprets and uses patient data in treating patient populations.
This online CME activity consists of three modules and is based on a live event that was held on March 30, 2012 at MMS in Waltham, MA.

The Importance of Data Analytics in Physician Practice: Module 3
Improving the Health of Your Patients Through the Use of Data Analytics
The increasing importance of data analytics in the changing health care environment, especially given the development of accountable care delivery models, cannot be underestimated. Physicians need access to key information in order to make sound decisions on what approach their practice should take in properly interpreting and managing patient data. Without access to quality educational programs in this area, physicians may not implement the right strategies when considering approaches to data analytics and thus may suffer the consequences in terms of not meeting specific quality and cost benchmarks in risk-based contracting scenarios, reduced reimbursement, and inadequate interpretation of important patient data.
