• USCDI V1 Data Overview – through October 5, 2022, the electronic health information (EHI) required to be shared under the rule are the USCDI V1 data elements. After that date, the definition of EHI is expanded to electronic protected health information (ePHI) in a designated record set (as defined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations) regardless of whether the records are used or maintained by or for a covered entity.
