Your Speakers invite you to participate in the 2020 MMS Virtual Interim Meeting of the House of Delegates (HOD), November 7 and December 5, 2020 (note non-consecutive days) 9:00 a.m., via Zoom Webinar. Delegates must pre-register for all Interim Meeting business meetings, and educational programs.

The MMS Leadership is pleased to welcome Dr. Susan Bailey, the 175th president of the American Medical Association and a distinguished allergist/immunologist from Fort Worth, Texas, to our Virtual 2020 Interim Meeting during the Opening Session on Saturday, November 7th.

  • Online Reference Committee Testimony Site Opens (Typed Testimony or Video/Audio Upload) – Thursday, October 15
  • Deadline for "Procedure 10" Items – Wednesday, October 28, 5:00 p.m. (Delegates Wishing to utilize Procedure 10 must email Speakers at houseofdelegates@mms.org)

The Delegates’ Handbook will be available electronically (only) in PDF format on Thursday, October 15.


Late File Resolutions and Reports (No Late Files Received)

The late file deadline has passed.


Online Reference Committee Testimony Site (Typed Testimony or Video/Audio Upload)

Beginning Thursday, October 15, members can testify online at http://www.massmed.org/hodcommunity/home. This online site serves as the only method for reference committee testimony for this virtual Interim Meeting. Members can type in testimony or upload a video/audio file. Please see complete details on the site. Please review the site regularly. Quick Reference Guides are available for written testimony and video/audio testimony.

  • On-Time Resolutions/Reports: Closes Friday, November 6, 5:00 p.m. (Eve prior to Opening Session)
  • (Any Accepted) Late Files: If lates accepted at Opening Session, testimony open Saturday, November 7, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Reference Committee Reports

Reference Committee reports will be available electronically on Tuesday, November 17.  


Extractions/Amendment Process and Forms

Important: Your speakers request advance notice of extractions from delegates by Wednesday, Dec. 2, via email to: houseofdelegates@mms.org. Your email subject line should read: Extraction HOD Second Session. Please indicate your name, district, Reference Committee and Item # of extraction. Although amendments may be submitted during the HOD second session using the same form, out of respect for your colleagues and MMS staff, it will take extra time to type amendments live, therefore, your Speakers very much appreciate you submitting your amendments in advance.

Extractions to propose Amendments over three words must be submitted from delegates on an Amendment Form to: houseofdelegates@mms.org. Fillable amendment forms in PDF or Word and instructions are available here:

When you email an amendment form, in your email subject line, please state: “AMENDMENT Ref Com {A/B/ or C}_Item #_Your Last Name.

Delegates extracting and item/extracting to propose an amendment must attend (Zoom) the HOD second session, Saturday, December 5. to speak to their extraction/amendment.

Your advance notice of extractions and use of the amendment form for longer amendments is extremely important in light of our virtual forum and greatly appreciated. These actions will assist us in moving forward more efficiently with our important policy-making activities.

Delegates’ Handbook Review Meetings and District/Regional Caucus Meetings

Individual districts and groupings of districts by regional area will have the opportunity to virtually review the Delegates’ Handbook once published/posted as well as an opportunity to virtually caucus prior to the Second Session of the House of Delegates and review the final reference committee reports. These meetings are held at the discretion of each district, for additional information, please contact your regional manager or district staff person.
