The following CME activity was
developed from the archives of the presentations recorded at the CMS
National E-Prescribing Conference held on October 7, 2008 in Boston, MA.

The speakers from the three
presentation sessions discuss pre-implementation (including the
selection of E-prescribing software and achieving buy-in from the group
and/or administrative staff), the implementation process, and
post-implementation challenges for a variety of settings. Issues covered
include new research, decision support, the benefits of E-prescribing
and the lessons learned regarding handoffs and other post-implementation
issues.
