First & Third Wednesday Professional Peer Support Group
A twice per month support group sponsored by
Physician Health Services, Inc. (PHS), a Massachusetts Medical Society
corporation. This group is designed to provide physicians and
their families with strategies to enhance coping skills.

Description:
A twice monthly meeting for physicians, residents and medical
students who are experiencing the rigors of medicine and could benefit
from collegial support. These meetings, now in their 21st year,
are an anonymous support group for doctoral level health professionals
with any form of substance abuse, mental illness, behavioral problems,
or physical illness. Those significant in the lives of the doctor,
including friends and family members, are also welcome to attend.
These meetings are on a first name basis only and a potluck dinner is
typically served, so feel free to bring something if you wish.
