Dear Colleagues,
I’m pleased to invite you to this year’s Annual Meeting, an invaluable opportunity to reconnect, network, and engage with fellow physicians and Society members. This gathering offers a chance to exchange ideas, discuss the issues shaping our profession,
and strengthen the connections that support physicians across our community.
Our House of Delegates (HOD) will convene on Wednesday, April 29 (virtual session) and Saturday, May 16 (in-person session) to shape policies that impact health care, physicians, patients, and our Society.
As part of our commitment to engaging with our dedicated members and advancing the work of the Society, we are pleased to offer multiple opportunities for you to participate, provide input, and celebrate our community in the months ahead.
As we did in 2025, we will host reference committee hearings virtually, which will take place in the evenings on Thursday, April 30, and Monday, May 4, at varying times to accommodate different schedules. You may view the schedule here.
Please join us on the evening of Friday, May 15 for our President’s Reception, The Annual Member Art Exhibit, and the Presidential Inauguration and Awards Ceremony, where we will honor our MMS award recipients and celebrate the inauguration of our
incoming president, Rebecca Weintraub Brendel, MD, JD. I hope to see you at the President’s Reception to commemorate this momentous occasion. If you are unable to join us in-person, livestreaming is available and can be selected when registering.
We are fortunate to have excellent educational programs in conjunction with the Annual Meeting, including the MMS Annual Education Program, the 136th Annual Shattuck Lecture and the Annual Meeting Ethics Forum. The dates, times, and details may be found
here.
On behalf of the Medical Society, I want to extend my sincere gratitude for your steadfast commitment to advancing our policymaking process. Your insight, engagement, and dedication play a vital role in shaping the future of health care in our state,
and we are deeply grateful for your continued support. I look forward to seeing you soon!
Sincerely,
Olivia
