The MMS Committee on Violence Intervention and Prevention and Massachusetts General Hospital’s Human Trafficking Initiative have published the second edition of Human Trafficking: Guidebook on Identification, Assessment, and Response in the Health Care Setting.

The updated and revised guidebook provides an overview of human trafficking, describes its clinical manifestations, and offers guidance for health professionals regarding identification, assessment, care, and follow-up. The objectives of this guidebook are to educate health care providers about human trafficking, offer practical instruction regarding identification and response, and provide resources for patient referral and ongoing professional education.
