Our Grants
Our Foundation supports two annual grant cycles: one for organizations and one for individuals.
The Foundation supports nonprofit organizations that work to creatively address issues that affect the health, benefit, and welfare of the community.
Specifically, we aim to provide grants to organizations committed to providing:
- quality health care services for the un- and underinsured;
- behavioral health services when not available;
- improved access to health care by overcoming barriers to health care delivery;
- health promotion through proactive prevention, education and outreach;
- programs aimed at addressing the social determinants of health.
Preference will be given to organizations demonstrating a commitment to addressing health equity, as we know that racial discrimination is a driver of racial/ethnic health inequities which leads to poorer health outcomes, combined with both reduced access
to health care and poorer patient experiences.
Letters of Intent (LOIs) due January 15th.
Our individual grants, also known as our International
Health Studies grants, fund medical students and resident physicians who are pursuing international education that focuses on underserved populations. By subsidizing up to $2,000 of travel expenses, we hope contribute to the development of culturally
competent physicians who are prepared to serve both local and international communities with humility and respect. Applications due February 15, 2022.
Foundant – Our Online Grant Management System
In an effort to increase our availability, flexibility and usability, we have implemented Foundant, an online grant management system. Among many benefits we think you'll appreciate
within this system are the ability to control organizational contact information, to draft, save and submit online applications, and to upload documents and reports. In implementing this program, we are committing to run all our grants through this
system, meaning that you can no longer submit applications, reports or any other forms by email or regular mail.
