WALTHAM, Mass. – Dr. Kamber Hart, a second year pediatrics resident in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Children’s Hospital and Boston Medical Center, is the recipient of the Massachusetts Medical Society’s (MMS) 2026 Information Technology
Award.
The honor recognizes the development of an information technology tool that helps physicians practice medicine, teach medicine, or pursue clinical research and comes with a $5,000 award.
The award is sponsored by Click Therapeutics, Inc., (“Click”), a leader in Digital Therapeutics™ as prescription medical treatments.
The MMS Information Technology in Medicine awards have been presented annually since 2001, and many winners have seen their projects make indelible marks on science, medicine, and patient care.
Hart’s project was entitled “Impact of an Electronic Pre-Rounding/Rounding System on Resident Efficiency.” She led the development of an Epic-based electronic pre-rounding tool and implemented iPad use on rounds, enabling residents to consolidate
data electronically, access real-time vitals and results, place orders, and reference clinical resources during presentations.
Hart is originally from Phoenix and is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Princeton University and a master’s in narrative medicine from Columbia University. Her interests focus on the thoughtful
implementation of technology in medical education. Her current projects include the development of digital tools to support residents on rounds, evaluation of AI tools prior to deployment to medical providers, and disability inclusion in medical
education.
