This task force on physician on-call compensation will collect, aggregate, and report data on: 1) The state of compensated versus uncompensated on-call duties; 2) Which specialties are being compensated for covering calls; and 3) The range of call-coverage compensation. The task force will further recommend model
changes to hospital bylaws on emergency department coverage and compensation that are legally and ethically sound.
