Waltham – March 13th – Manchester
resident Suzanne F. Graves, M.D. has been honored by her physician peers of the
Essex South District Medical Society as the district’s 2017 Community Clinician
of the Year. She will receive the award
at the district’s annual meeting on April 6 at the Danversport Yacht Club in
Danvers.
In nominating her for the honor,
her colleagues noted that she “has consistently demonstrated the highest level
of commitment to her patients, her practice, and her community.”
Dr. Graves is a physician and
senior partner with Garden City Pediatrics in Beverly, a medical practice
affiliated with Beverly Hospital that she joined in 1993. In addition to her
clinical practice, she is a member of the Board of Directors of Lahey Health
System, the Northeast Physician Hospital Organization, and the Lahey Clinical
Performance Network.
Additionally, she serves as the
president of the Evelyn Lilly Lutz Foundation, which is engaged in supporting
and encouraging medical research and continuing education in connection with
Beverly Hospital, is the school physician for the Waring School in Beverly and
the Manchester Essex Regional School District, and teaches pediatric resident
physicians from Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Graves received her
bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and her medical degree from the
University of Vermont College of Medicine.
The Community Clinician of the
Year award was established in 1998 by the Massachusetts Medical Society to
recognize a physician from each of the Society’s 20 district medical societies
who has made significant contributions to his or her patients and the
community. The Essex South District
Medical Society has nearly 700 physician members who work or live in the
communities of southern Essex County.
The
