Question:
The group of conditions termed “geriatric syndrome” that commonly includes vascular disease, cognitive dysfunction, depression, physical disability, and polypharmacy all occur at higher frequency in older adults with diabetes. For those with executive function disorder, lack of insight, planning and judgement, problem solving, and starting, changing, and stopping behaviors can all negatively affect a complex diabetes regimen.
