An important task for me as MMS president-elect is to appoint members to the Society’s committees. Our committees promote member interests and MMS policy positions to the public, legislature, businesses, and state agencies.
Because the perspectives, ideas, and input of medical students are vital to committee success, I am hopeful that many of you will be willing to serve and actively engage.
Please review the list of list of MMS committees and Sections. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please complete the brief application form and return it with a statement of interest and a copy of your CV by Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
To encourage appropriate representation of the Medical Student Section (MSS), all medical student committee appointments will be made in conjunction with input from MMS Medical Student Section leadership. Up to two medical students may be appointed per
committee.
Most committee meetings occur via zoom; however, if there is an option to attend a committee meeting in-person, the Society will reimburse mileage, tolls and parking costs in order to facilitate your participation.
Your involvement in Society programs, activities, and committees helps shape the future of medicine. I look forward to working with you.
