Massachusetts Medical Society on CDC website changes to information on vaccines and autism

The proliferation of misinformation and the misrepresentation of accepted science is dangerous to our patients, eroding the patient-physician trust that is imperative to our ability to deliver optimal care.

MMS calls for transparency and scientific accountability to ensure public confidence in medicine. Clinical research and scientific evidence have demonstrated no credible link between vaccines and autism. Vaccines have consistently been proven safe, effective, and essential for protecting public health.

MMS continues to monitor emerging data and supports rigorous review of all clinical guidance. We urge families to speak with their physicians to make informed decisions based on trusted, evidence-based sources and individual health needs.
