Sustained, collective advocacy is imperative to support the Commonwealth’s physicians in their ability to provide the best care and to ensure decisions that impact public health continue to follow evidence, which continues to affirm the safety and efficacy of vaccines. The Massachusetts Medical Society was proud to join more than 100 organizations and public health experts in support of this effort because protecting the health of our patients — especially children — demands that vaccine policy follows established science. We are encouraged that the court agreed. This decision upholds the critical importance of evidence-based decision-making behind federal vaccine policy.
