2025 Interim Meeting Ethics Forum — Ethics & CRISPR: Exploring the Moral, Ethical, and Policy Challenges Posed by Gene Editing Technology
Monday, December 8, 2025, 7:00-8:00 p.m. EST – Virtual Live Webinar
Activity Description
Ethics & CRISPR: Exploring the Moral, Ethical, and Policy Challenges Posed by Gene Editing Technology is designed to help clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals engage with one of the most transformative and controversial innovations
in modern medicine. This interactive session will explore the promise and perils of CRISPR through the lens of ethics and public policy. Participants will examine real-world scenarios, review current and emerging guidelines, and discuss strategies
for addressing the moral dilemmas raised by gene editing in clinical and research settings. By the end of this program, learners will gain the tools to critically evaluate the implications of CRISPR, counsel patients and families, and contribute meaningfully
to broader conversations about responsible innovation in healthcare.
Activity Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:
