Massachusetts Medical Society: Board of Medicine to Audit CME Credits

Board of Medicine to Audit CME Credits

The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine will begin conducting random audits of CME credits for physicians whose license renewal date is after July 1, 2011. Massachusetts will join a number of other states with similar CME audit programs.

All physicians should maintain records of participation in Category 1 CME activities, and be able to document the means by which they accumulated Category 2 credits.

Physicians who are selected for the CME audit will be notified by email and regular US Mail after their license has been renewed.
