Dr. Jonathan Fallon honored by Hampshire District Medical Society as 2023 Community Clinician of the Year
Dr. Jonathan Fallon, chief of orthopedics at Mass General Brigham Cooley Dickinson Hospital, has been selected as the Hampshire District Medical Society’s 2023 Community Clinician of the Year, an award recognizing his professionalism and contributions
as a physician.
Fallon is the team surgeon for the athletic programs at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Northampton High School and Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School. He is also a surgical consultant for Amherst College, Westfield State University
athletics, Deerfield Academy, and the Eaglebrook School. In conjunction with his orthopedic responsibilities, he is also the vice- chair of surgery and part of the Wellness and Sports Performance Center at Cooley Dickinson and is one of the only physicians
in Western Mass. who performs arthroscopic hip surgery.
In addition to the Massachusetts Medical Society, Fallon is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society.
He is a graduate of Boston College, the University of New Mexico and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
